The SOI Process
The Structure of Intellect (SOI) program is highly individualized. Every individual has a different set of strong skills and skills needing improvement. This is why, from the first step together, the process is personalized and tailored to get the best out of each learner. The key steps are:
- Client discovery: This step involves an initial 30 minutes meeting, with the parents/carers gathering information about the child with relation to their preferences, their personality, their unique challenges, and any medical/behavioral history in addition to a 10 minutte play-based interaction with the learner to break the ice and identify their specific communication style. The program design will heavily rely on this initial meeting and introduction.
- The Assessment: Next, a mutually convenient date will be agreed upon to go through a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the learner’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, including the specifics of their learning styles. It is possible at this stage to identify possible challenges with vision.
- Analysis: Once the assessment is complete, the results are analyzed, discussed with the parents/carers, giving a rational to what the learner is experiencing. This analysis helps to create a detailed cognitive profile for the individual.
- Intervention Planning: Based on the analysis, a personalized intervention plan is developed to target the identified areas for improvement and build upon the areas of strength. The SOI specialist and the parents/carers then agree on the mode of implantation, deciding on the frequjency of the sessions and their lehgth.
- Implementation: This involves between 80 and 100hrs of regular fun weekly sessions beginning with play-based stimulation followed by paper-based or computer-based modules solving, homework assignments, and ongoing monitoring of progress through continuous assessment of Mastery of skill.
- Progress Monitoring: Throughout the intervention process, progress is closely monitored to track improvements and adjust the intervention plan as needed. There will be a progress report for every 20 intervention hours with the 40-hours mid program progress report discuss more formally with the parents/carers.
- Adjustment and Refinement: Based on ongoing progress monitoring, the intervention plan is adjusted and refined. This may involve modifying exercises, introducing new strategies, or addressing emerging challenges.
- Long-term Support: Even after the intervention plan is completed, long-term support may be provided. This may involve periodic assessments, booster sessions, and ongoing support from me.
Overall, the SOI program is designed to provide personalized support and interventions to enhance cognitive abilities, address learning challenges, and unlock individual potential.
